ID sensor pattern density error
BPCU / developerCommon field call
Level B — stop, power-cycle may clear
First check
Clean ID sensor, confirm toner, then forced process control. If it fails again, PCU or developer for that color.
What it means
Process control ran, but the ID pattern density was out of range. The #1 ‘mystery background / light copy’ code.
Likely causes
- Dirty ID sensor
- Low toner / empty bottle that still reads ‘OK’
- Worn PCU or developer
- Transfer belt contamination
On-site steps
Parts to have on the truck
- ID sensor
- PCU
- Developer
- Image transfer belt
- Toner
SP / reset
SP3-011 forced process control. Not an SC5-810 problem.
