Forced process control

Run MUSIC / process control after PCU, developer, ITB, or ID sensor work.

  1. 01Preconditions

    All PCUs latched, bottles seated, ITB in, ID sensor cleaned, waste bottle not full, fuser at ready. Running process control during a 541 is wasted time.

  2. 02Clean the ID sensor

    Pull the ITB far enough to see the ID / MUSIC sensor window. Dry lint-free, then IPA if filmed. A dirty window is the #1 fake ‘bad PCU’.

  3. 03SP3-011-001

    Engine SP → SP3-011 Forced Process Control → execute. Stay with the machine. It will write patches to the belt and read them. A fail on one color names that PCU/developer.

  4. 04If a color fails

    Reseat that PCU, confirm toner, run developer init (SP3-002) if the unit is new, then process control again. Second fail → replace that PCU/developer.
