Free run (SP5-801)

Run the engine without paper to hear a motor, see a belt, or reproduce a 500/440.

  1. 01SP5-801

    Engine SP free run. Pick process speed if offered. Listen for polygon, main, ITB, fuser fan.

  2. 02Use it

    A 500 that only happens with paper is a wrap/load. A 500 on free run is a motor/driver. Same idea for 201 (polygon should be screaming on free run).

  3. 03Stop

    Exit SP. Do not leave a machine in free run unattended — fuser is hot.
