PCU replacement

Replace a photoconductor / charge unit and leave process control green.

  1. 01Match the part

    C2010, C3510, and C4510 PCUs are not a bag of ‘close enough’. Read the part number. Wrong CRUM → 396/397.

  2. 02Pull

    Front door. Pull the handle straight. Do not stand the drum on the table — light-pipe and park it in the bag the new one came in.

  3. 03Contacts

    Inspect HV and CRUM contacts in the machine. Toner cakes here cause 302/396 on the new unit.

  4. 04Install + init

    Seat until the set switch clicks. Install toner if you also changed developer. SP3-002 if required, then SP3-011. Reset PM for that color.
