Supervisor / admin lockout

When the site cannot log in and the supervisor password was changed.

  1. 01Default supervisor

    Try supervisor with the factory password for that SOP version (check the FSM / bulletin — it has changed across SOP 1/2/2.5). Caps and full keyboard on SOP.

  2. 02Customer admin

    Many sites never set supervisor and instead locked User Tools with an admin account. Ask who installed PaperCut / Equitrac / the dealer.

  3. 03SP password reset

    There is a service-side password clear on most GW+ (SP5-xxx per FSM, often documented as ‘UP mode password clear’). Use that, do not initialize NVRAM.

  4. 04Last resort

    NVRAM init will clear passwords and everything else. Only with customer sign-off and an address-book backup.
